Living Life in a Fish Bowl!

Shopping

Yesterday I didn’t get on here to put my thoughts out there.  It really has been therapeutic.

Instead, last night I went with my son and Curt shopping.  This was Chris’ idea, which is right up there with the cow jumping over the moon.  Not that he doesn’t like to shop, but shopping with mom (when mom is not paying) is not on his top 10 or even 20.  You know how it is.

So of course off we went to Foot locker.   He knew what he wanted and  where it was.  He tried them on and grabbed some socks and we were out the door in under 5 minutes.

Now this is not my idea of shopping and I did mention to Chris that he shops just like his dad.  This brought smiles from both of them.  ugh.

However, there was a store at the other end of the mall that he wanted to check out and so of course while we walked there I would have to stop and look at this or that. 🙂  As it turns out the store was no longer there.  Oh so sad (giggle, giggle) because there at that end of the mall was a store that I just had to go in.

They humored me and I quickly tried on a couple outfits.  One of them I really liked – so I called Curt over to check it out.  I wish I had a camera for Chris’ face.   I finally told him that  I had found the perfect outfit to wear when I meet Erika.  Oh, that was priceless.   I did tell him that we could just take her out if he didn’t want to go.  Oh I wouldn’t have traded those moments for anything.  He did finally tell me that he was glad we were alike and that he knew I was just kidding.  To which I said “What me???”

Yes I did get the outfit.  I happen to really like it and after all I  dance to the beat of my own drum (probably why I married a drummer)

til next time

  1. Must remember “Mom, your not from India”
Although it is good to know that your friends give you inspiration. Even if it’s not me in this case 😉

  2. When are you going to wear this new outfit? Do you need any new accessories?

  3. Tonya — how could I have forgotten that line. Yes, I then told him that if Susan could have an outfit from India so could I even if mine was not really “from” India.

Curt – of course I need accessories and since you brought it up and I just happen to be shopping with Tonya tomorrow then I know what I can shop for — YES!!!!
