Living Life in a Fish Bowl!

Gloria’s take on life.

but God

Life, at times, can seem to look like a puzzle box that has been dumped out.

puzzle pieces(for “Life is like a puzzle” click here)

How we choose to handle each day, each situation matters.  We can get stressed out, worry, continue to try to make the pieces fit, get discouraged, let fear consume us or we can shout But God!

The Bible is filled with reminders that God is in control!

But God remembered Noah  (Gen 8:1)

Remember Joseph?  “You intended to harm me, But God intended it for good.”  (Gen 50:20)

But God made the earth by His power, He founded the world by His wisdom and stretched out the heavens by His understanding.   (Jeremiah 10:12)  Nothing is impossible for our God.

Sometimes choices others make affect us.

But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever   (Psalm 73:26)

But God has surely listened and has heard my prayer  ( Psalm 66:19)

But God will never forget the needy  (Psalm 9:18)

But God, who comforts the downcast   (2 Corinthians 7:6)

Praise God for grace and mercy!

But God knows your heart   (Luke 16:15)

But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.   (Romans 5:8)

But God raised Him from the dead  –  (Acts 2:24, 13:30)

But God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in His holiness  (Hebrews 12:10)

Paul stated — I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow    (1 Corinthians 3:6)

But God knows  (2 Corinthians 12:3)

But God is the builder of everything  (Hebrews 3:4)

God sees things we don’t see, He is at work.  We see just a few pieces at a time.   He sees it all.   When we don’t understand and life hurts — remember BUT GOD!!   When life seems to be coming at us fast — remember BUT GOD has a plan and a purpose.  He will guide us and give us the wisdom and strength to deal with each situation.  When life is good don’t forget BUT GOD is worthy to be praised and thanked.

This Christmas season our church has a Christmas morning service.  As we gather with family and friends my heart is full of thanks to the One who works all things out for our good.  Happy Birthday Jesus!

John 1:1-5, 14 (TLB)

Before anything else existed, there was Christ, with God. He has always been alive and is Himself God. He created everything there is—nothing exists that He didn’t make. Eternal life is in Him, and this life gives light to all mankind. His life is the light that shines through the darkness—and the darkness can never extinguish it…..14 And Christ became a human being and lived here on earth among us and was full of loving forgiveness and truth...

til next time
