Living Life in a Fish Bowl!

Gloria’s take on life.

celebrating women

We made a change last year at our church.  On Mother’s Day  we recognize the value of our mothers.     Yet, we celebrate all women.  Each woman has an impact on those around her.   You don’t have to be someone’s mom to speak into their life.

Here is part of the presentation I did yesterday for Mother’s Day.

Whether your mom is living or has passed away, this day is set aside to recognize the role of our mothers. I cherish the memories I have of my own mother.

For some this holiday is hard. There are women who have buried children. Children who have buried their mother. There are women who are hurting because the relationship with her child or the relationship with her mother is strained. There are those whose mom hasn’t been a part of her life and those who long for a child of their own. Yes, for some this holiday is hard. We recognize this and offer our support and prayers.

So today, Cornerstone would like to honor all women. We celebrate you! Each of you has an impact on the world around you. Your love and compassion does not go unnoticed.

Flowers and chocolate were available for each woman.

It was a pretty full ministry weekend for me.    I led worship at our Saturday satellite church.   Then  I led worship, did the women’s presentation and preached at both morning services.  I can truly say, again, that in my weakness Christ is strong and His strength shines through.

Zephaniah 3:17
“The Lord your God is in your midst, A victorious warrior. He will exult over you with joy, He will be quiet in His love, He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.”

Celebrating life!

Today, I spent the whole day working from home.  It was glorious!!

I am always looking for ideas, if your church did something special, I would love to hear about it.

til next time
