Living Life in a Fish Bowl!

Gloria’s take on life.

When life heats up we need not fear because we know God is at work, and He is for us. (Psalm 118:6)

One of the benefits we have when we place our hope and trust in the Lord is a life that flourishes. We need not ever become dehydrated. We have a constant supply of ‘living water.’ God is our source.

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
And whose hope is the Lord.
For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters,
Which spreads out its roots by the river,
And will not fear when heat comes;
But its leaf will be green,
And will not be anxious in the year of drought,
Nor will cease from yielding fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8 (NKJV)

“leaf will be green’ – a sign of a life that is flourishing even in the midst of the heat. (One sign of dehydration would be irritability in the midst of heat.)

Since the tree is planted by the waters, even in drought it will produce fruit. So it is with us. We won’t be free from problems, but God will bring fruit in our lives as we rely on Him.

Don’t allow yourself to become dehydrated.  Instead let your ‘roots’ dig deeply into God’s source of living water.  Spending time in His Word, time in prayer, time in quiet reflection and time together with others will keep dehydration away.

Trust God and flourish!!
