Living Life in a Fish Bowl!

Gloria’s take on life.

not the same old same old

Eight years ago history was made. The first black president was sworn into office. Today history was made again. Donald Trump, who defied the odds against him, was sworn into office. Whatever you may think about President Donald Trump, he now holds the highest office in our country.

Listening to his inauguration speech,  it is clear that this is not a polished politician.  In fact, he takes a few shots at the political establishment.   A couple of things that stand out to me is his love for America and desire to bring about a positive change.

Whatever the future holds, today is what is before me. This is the day the Lord has made and I an choosing to rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalm 118:24) As for the future, I smile, knowing God is in control.

“Strength and dignity are her clothing,
And she smiles at the future.” Proverbs 31:25 (NASB)

There may be change in the air but, God changes not.

”Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Hebrews 13:8 (NASB)

I appreciated Franklin Graham’s usage of 1 Timothy, his gospel presentation that he incorporated into his prayer and that he concluded in Jesus name. The Word went forth and it will not return void. (Isaiah 55:11)

1 Timothy 2:1-2 “First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.”

Join me in praying for President Trump and those in leadership of our great country.

til next time
