Living Life in a Fish Bowl!

Gloria’s take on life.

campfire

Recently I have had the privilege to sit around a few campfires. A couple verses come to mind.

heb 12 28 29

“a bruised reed he will not break,
and a smoldering wick he will not quench,
until he brings justice to victory;
and in his name the Gentiles will hope.” Matthew 12:20:21 (ESV)

So much encouragement in those two verses. When it seems that struggles and difficulties have dimmed our flame, we can rest in the knowledge that God will bring about justice. There will be victory. We have hope. There is always reason to hope. God is still God. He is mighty to save.

Another verse that comes to mind is:

“Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.” Hebrews 12:28-29 (ESV)

A kingdom that cannot be shaken! What is it that you offer to God? Worship? Reverence? Awe?
