Living Life in a Fish Bowl!

Gloria’s take on life.

remember

“Remember the wonders he has done,
his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced,” Psalm 105:5 NIV

Sometimes I just need to stop and remind myself of who God is. Sadly sometimes I get wrapped up in my own situation and my own limitations that, for a moment, my focus shifts from God of the possible to Gloria of the impossible. Really that is what worry and frustration is all about — forgetting, for that moment, that God is greater and nothing takes Him by surprise ever!

col 3 13 14

I am a team player but not everyone is — I need to be reminded to love in those moments when someone is doing their own thing and what they are doing affects me in a challenging way. God will give wisdom to know how to handle it in a way that does not cause frustration.

God is all powerful. He is Creator of the heavens and earth. (Gen 1:1)

Did you see the eclipse? I put on a welders helmet and looked up into the sky. Why put on the welders helmet? I wanted to protect my eyes.

Proverbs 7:2-3  also talks about protecting our eyes.

“Obey my commands and live!
Guard my instructions as you guard your own eyes.
Tie them on your fingers as a reminder.
Write them deep within your heart.”  Proverbs 7:2-3 (NLT)

Maybe that is the reminder you need today – to obey is better than sacrifice. (1 Samuel 15:22) Do you have God’s instructions written deep within your heart? Take a moment right now and determine that you will meditate and work on memorizing scripture.   Proverbs 7:2-3 would be a great place to start.

Selah,

til next time
