Living Life in a Fish Bowl!

Gloria’s take on life.

Are you the type of person to be argumentative for the sake of arguing or the type of person who looks to defuse an intense situation?  Do you give thought to what your words are producing?

“Finally, brothers, rejoice. Aim for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.” 2 Cor 13:11 ESV

We talked about rejoicing yesterday.   Click here to read part one

Today the rest of the verse:

Aim for restoration — use your words to bring unity not division, healing not pain, harmony not strife…

Comfort one another — look outside your situation, reach out, be God’s hand extended

Agree with one another — find things that you can agree on, don’t be that person who takes the opposite side just because you can, don’t let cantankerous describe you….

Live in peace — as much as possible live in peace with all people (Romans 12:18) Be that person who overlooks an offense, gives the person the benefit, and looks for the good. (Proverbs 19:11)

And the God of love and peace will be with you. Thankfully we do not have to do this on our own strength. We only need to let God take the lead and flow through us.

Something to think about and grow in,
til next time
